The setting of this place is absolutely stunning! We were blown away by the breathtaking wildlife views from our bedroom window. The room itself was delightful, with a spacious layout and a beautiful bathroom that was sparkling clean. Our host, a lovely lady, went above and beyond to communicate with us and even helped us book a table at a top-notch restaurant. She also provided us with excellent suggestions for places to visit. The breakfast was superb, served at our convenience, and the fine china and fresh bread and croissants made it extra special.

I recently stayed at a charming chateau just outside Villefranche sur Saone and had a lovely experience at Chateau De La Venerie. The location of the chateau is truly idyllic, with a tranquil setting and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. My room was spacious and clean, and I particularly enjoyed the view of the field of horses and flock of geese from my window. The hostess, Veronique, was both charming and helpful, providing great recommendations for nearby restaurants and sightseeing opportunities. The hidden entrance behind an old door added a touch of magic to the overall experience. it was a fantastic stay at Chateau De La Venerie and I highly recommend it to others.

No negatives from this place. 😊

Our stay at the Chateau De La Venerie was an incredible value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a stunning modern bathroom. The location was convenient for our plans, and the staff treated us with exceptional hospitality.

Menu for breakfast could be improved with some fresh fruit and cereal options.

As a senior woman, I absolutely adored the charming decor of this 15th-century château. The attention to detail in the decoration and furnishings made me feel like I had stepped back in time. The general areas of the hotel, such as the beautiful garden and cozy breakfast room, were accessible and provided a tranquil atmosphere for relaxation. It was a delightful experience to enjoy the serene surroundings and take leisurely walks on the property.

The only thing I wished for during my vacation was a bit more assistance from the children working there. While they were polite and friendly, I would have appreciated some additional help with carrying my luggage or offering assistance to navigate the historic building.

Absolutely mind-blowing historic castle with MASSIVE rooms that are luxuriously and comfortably furnished. Breakfast is shared with other guests at a huge table adorned with old silverware and historical plates. The gigantic garden offers a jaw-dropping pool, plenty of sun loungers, tables, and seating. The owner, who is super friendly, went above and beyond by rescuing us when we got lost at night. The location is wonderfully tranquil, yet conveniently close to the nearby town. A lovely dog and three friendly horses add to the charm. The hostess recommended another nearby chateau for us to visit, and it was absolutely fabulous. We had an incredible stay and can't wait to come back next year.

The decoration of the château was simply exquisite, with intricate details and beautiful antiques that added a touch of elegance to the entire place. I especially loved the cozy sitting areas and the charming courtyard where I could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As a senior woman, I found the hotel to be perfectly accessible, with wide hallways and handrails that made walking around easy and safe.

I would have asked for better accessibility for senior people, such as handrails in the bathroom and non-slip mats in the shower. The children working there were very helpful, but I wish they had been more attentive to the needs of older guests, especially when it came to safety precautions.

The rooms at Chateau De La Venerie are cozy and comfortable, with a homely touch that made me feel right at home. The satellite TV and free internet access kept me entertained, and the en suite bathroom with free toiletries was a nice touch. Plus, the garden view from my room was absolutely stunning.

Personally, I found the large bathroom with a garden view a bit overwhelming. But hey, that's just my opinion.

The rooms at Chateau De La Venerie were like a cozy sanctuary, complete with satellite TV for catching up on our favorite shows and free internet access to stay connected. The en suite bathrooms were stocked with complimentary toiletries, making us feel pampered and refreshed. Plus, some rooms even offered a delightful view of the gardens, adding a touch of serenity to our stay.

Personally, I found the bathrooms a bit small. But hey, that's just my opinion!

Location: This 15th-century château is perfectly situated in the heart of the Beaujolais region, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. With its beautiful surroundings and convenient proximity to the village of Dénice, it's like staying in a fairytale castle.

No air conditioning: Due to the historical nature of this delightful building, air conditioning is not available.

Impressive room with a view of the countryside and small lake. Massive en-suite bathroom/shower. Hidden entrance behind an old door, like walking into a wardrobe. Very friendly and helpful host who organized our restaurant reservations. Excellent restaurant recommendations, such as L'epicerie. Beautiful setting near a large town. Large terrace with tables and chairs. Good breakfast with fine china, fresh bread, and croissants from the local baker. Clean and well-maintained room and building.

Felt safe and secure, no complaints.

The rooms here are super cozy and have everything you need, like satellite TV and free internet. They even give you free toiletries for the bathroom! I felt like I was right at home.

The only thing I didn't love about the room was the view. It overlooked the gardens, which some people might enjoy, but I prefer something more exciting.

What a romantic hideaway! We loved the secluded location, surrounded by nature and far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The room was spacious and had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a romantic escape. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast, which included fresh bread and croissants, a true French treat. The hostess was friendly and helpful, recommending nearby attractions and making sure we had a comfortable stay.

There were some issues that affected our experience. The bed was not very comfortable and lacked a proper headboard, which made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep.
